È un percorso dal Trecento ad oggi che espone oltre seicento opere d’arte e oggetti tra dipinti, sculture, arredi sacri, ceramiche, disegni, monete e le medaglie e installazioni, provenienti dalle collezioni civiche. I materiali sono suddivisi in sette grandi temi che costituiscono i capitoli di una storia per immagini che ha come protagonista Imola.
Opere ed oggetti diversi per origine, qualità, rarità raccontano insieme e fanno risaltare luoghi, artisti, avvenimenti, produzioni tipiche, gusti e stili di vita della città e del suo territorio. La visita offre una nuova lettura delle raccolte storico-artistiche e un osservatorio sulla sua produzione artistica contemporanea della città.

The “City of Imola art Collections” is a visitor’s itinerary from the 14th century to the present. It consists of over 600 works of art and items in a diversity of medium including paintings, sculptures, liturgical furnishings, ceramics, drawings, coins and medals and site specifics works. The pieces are divided into seven main topics which are chapters of the Imola’s art and culture history.
Works and objects different for origin, quality, and rarity tell the same story and highlight places, artists, events, local products, tastes and lifestyles of the city and its land. The itinerary offers a new interpretation of the civic art collections and it is also an observatory on contemporary artistic production of the city.
